Parenting that feels like you
(not a stern nanny)
Do you have ‘those’ days?
You’re running late. Your child is in tears and refuses to leave the house.
You ask little Henry to get his shoes on and he just laughs and rolls about on the sofa. Then the next time you look he’s trying to feed the baby raw potatoes.
You can’t get a break, and “just breathe” doesn’t work…
Not when you’re sleep deprived, being bitten or screamed at, or you’ve just had another fall out with your partner over the state of the house.
Creative tools for when you’ve tried everything else
Maybe we’ll use giggly games to release tension. Or get dressed pretending to be dragon riders. We might dance, have a sock fight or go on a space adventure to release anxiety and moodiness.
This is parenting the fun way.
We’re going to help our children – young and old – to want to do what we’re asking, so we can avoid the threats, bribes and power struggles.
You’ll find playful and compassionate techniques that really work – that you can adapt to your child.
And we’ll cover proven tools to help us with our relationships, self-love and self-forgiveness, and following our own passions too (which often get swept under the toy-and-crumb-covered carpet).
Step by step, I’ll make it easy for you to transform your parenting world into a more joyful, playful and peaceful place to be.
Make sure you’re signed up to the blog to get podcasts with experts in play, parenting, well-being and relationships, as well as creative tools and tips.
You’ll also get a free Peace Tree meditation (and wow, do us parents need that sometimes!
Love to get the giggles?
Very soon you’ll be able to get my little e-book, How to Get the Giggles:
– The 10 Secret Giggle Ingredients which you can use to diffuse conflicts (or just use them for fun!)
– 15 easy, zero prep giggle games
– How to use humour and laughter to help your child with anxiety, aggression, sibling rivalry… or just to bring more giggles for own sake.
The book is raising money for Comic Relief (a charity supporting people to come out of poverty across the world, using laughter to raise money) and Rainforest Alliance (a charity supporting rainforests, who work with the communities that live in and around them).
So it’s a total win-win. You get more giggles, charities get more money. Whoop whoop!
I am all about the win-wins.
Make sure you’re signed up to the blog so you get the book as soon as it comes out!
